I like to use mine in traffic and other drivers can hear me outside their vehicle just fine. The only complaint I have is that the optional microphone piece doesn't have anything to clip onto. It's got the clip hole in the back of the microphone but there is no clip on the megaphone for it to attach to. Oh well. The manual says the battery life is 4-6 hours of continuous use. There is also no trigger which I suppose is fine by me since I plan to use the separate microphone. Other than that, there's not a lot to say really. I used it once for an event with about 30-40 people and it worked really well. The only problem is the compartment that keeps the batteries in is SUPER cheap and it's designed in a way that if it's bumped it will open and the batteries will fall out if you are holding it wrong. Besides that I was carrying it and I sware nothing was touching the button to open the battery compartment and the batteries just popped out and fell all over the ground multiple times. This megaphone is pretty cheap for it's price, but it's cheap for a reason. Its a good thing everybody doesn't use one or the world would be a noisier place. The siren is extremely loud. Only negative is it might get weighty to carry for long periods. Substantial speakers are often weighty. I have not experienced any problem with the battery compartment opening on its own. I will report back if it becomes a problem.
